I’m running for Supervisor!

October 7, 2025

I’m excited to announce that I’m running for District 10 Supervisor in San Francisco in November 2026. I would be honored to earn your support and generous contribution to help kick off our campaign!

As a third-generation San Franciscan and Bayview native, these are the neighborhoods that made me. My grandfather first moved to this city from the segregated South, seeking a better life during the Great Migration, and found a job as a laborer. My single mom raised my brother and me on $18,000 a year, working concessions at Giants and 49ers games. I am proud that her sacrifices allowed me to be the first in my family to graduate from college.

Some of my earliest childhood memories of growing up in this neighborhood have fueled my passion for public service. My walk to elementary school down Third Street was plotted with balloon shrines–memorials to too many of my peers who had fallen victim to gun violence.

In high school, I was a young documentary filmmaker advocating for better solutions to homelessness and public transit. At age 24, I formed a coalition that helped prevent City Hall from bringing the discriminatory policing practice of Stop and Frisk to San Francisco. And we fought back against environmental racism when big corporations like Tetra Tech lied about the toxic cleanup at the Hunters Point Shipyard.

As a City Commissioner, I led the creation of over 1,000 new affordable homes for low-income residents and seniors. I worked with the Salvation Army to double their homeless services citywide, led their COVID-19 rapid response efforts, and fought food insecurity by delivering more than 500,000 meals to unhoused families.

As the Golden State Warriors first Director of Public Affairs, we brought over 3,000 good-paying new jobs, millions in City investment, and multiple championships to San Francisco.

Now I serve as Policy Director at Brownstein–a legal and policy firm–and lead an arts and cultural renaissance as the Executive Director of the Ruth Williams Bayview Opera House, the city’s most historic theater and an iconic institution known for launching the next generation of local artists of color.

Today, my three boys, Lennox, Maxwell, and Hendrix are fourth-generation San Franciscans, and I want to make sure all families have better opportunities than I did. Our neighborhood deserves the same focus, urgency, and investment as the rest of the City.

We can be a neighborhood where families can afford to live, feel safe, and thrive. A community with more housing options at every level. A place where small businesses can operate without major red tape and have opportunities to build wealth for generations to come. A community that addresses homelessness with the moral urgency, comprehensiveness, and compassion this crisis demands. A neighborhood that prioritizes public safety and well-being, quality grocery stores, better transit options, clean air, and an abundance of parks and open space.

That’s why I’m running for Supervisor–to build the neighborhood we deserve.

I’m honored that San Francisco leaders are standing with me in this campaign. We're announcing our candidacy today with early endorsements from State Treasurer Fiona Ma, State Senator Scott Wiener, former Mayor London Breed, Supervisors Stephen Sherill, Danny Sauter, and Matt Dorsey, and leaders from every neighborhood in District 10.

Will you stand with us today by becoming a founding donor to kick off this campaign?

The maximum contribution is $500 per individual. Whatever you’re able to contribute, whether it’s $5, $50, or $500–your early support will make a major impact as we launch. If you live in San Francisco, your donation can be matched up to 6:1 in most cases!

Thank you so much!
