A San Francisco legend–really, a national legend–has joined us! I’m so honored to announce that former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown is endorsing our campaign for District 10 Supervisor.

Mayor Brown needs no introduction, but I’ll do one anyway: Willie Brown is our former two term Mayor (and the first Black mayor of San Francisco) and a former longtime California State Assembly Speaker.

In the State Assembly, Willie Brown was a strong champion for civil rights, including for our LGBTQ+ community at a time when many leaders wouldn't speak out. As Mayor, he appointed more women, Black people, Asians, Latinos, and LGBTQ+ people to his administration than any mayor in our history. And he oversaw a period of incredible growth for San Francisco in terms of housing, infrastructure, and city beautification. He is really one of the founding fathers of modern San Francisco. 

Mayor Brown joins a broad and diverse coalition supporting our campaign, including Lt. Governor Eleni Kounalakis, Treasurer Fiona Ma, Congressman Kevin Mullin, Senator Scott Wiener, Assemblymember Catherine Stefani, former Mayor London Breed, Supervisors Stephen Sherrill, Matt Dorsey, and Danny Sauter, major labor unions like SEIU Local 87, UFWC Local 648, and IATSE Local 16, and many more.

It’s going to take all of us working hard together over these next five months to win this election.
