Please support my son’s campaign.

This is Rose, Theo Ellington’s mom.

Theo has always loved San Francisco, and he’s always had a passion for our neighborhood. He started in middle school when he directed and produced an award-winning documentary about homelessness called The Homeless Orchestra

When he was a teenager, you could find him riding public transit; he enjoyed it so much that he made another documentary, The Bus 24: The Diversity Bus, in which he shared the story of San Francisco's diversity through the 24 bus line, a line he took from Bayview to our then home in Lower Haight/Fillmore.

It is inspiring to see all the work he has done, even up to today as an adult–building housing for working folks as a City Commissioner, leading bold ideas to address homelessness at the Salvation Army, creating jobs at the Warriors’ Chase Center, and making major investments in the arts at the historic Ruth Williams Opera House.

Theo and his wife Seray, are raising my three wonderful grandsons here because they are committed to this neighborhood. They want to make sure that Lennox, Maxwell, and Hendrix can grow up here and raise their beautiful families here, too. They want to make sure we have safer streets, homes that our families can afford, and better opportunities for the next generation.

I am a little biased, but I am so proud of the campaign he is running. He can do so much for San Francisco as your Supervisor.

Thank you so much for supporting Theo’s campaign.
