Calls Ellington “a Champion for Real Public Safety”; Joins Broad and Growing Coalition of Elected Officials, Nonprofit, Business, and Community Leaders Backing Campaign

(San Francisco, CA) – Today, California State Assemblymember Catherine Stefani (D-San Francisco) endorsed Theo Ellington for District 10 Supervisor.

“I’m fighting hard in the State Assembly for a safer and more vibrant San Francisco ,” said Assemblymember Catherine Stefani. “I strongly support Theo Ellington for Supervisor because he’s a trusted leader and a champion for real public safety. He gets it that we need more beat cops doing good community policing work, more investment in violence prevention programs, and real economic opportunity for every San Franciscan. We can count on Theo Ellington to work effectively to build the more affordable, equitable, and safer neighborhoods we all deserve.”

Assemblymember Stefani’s endorsement comes on the heels of Theo Ellington’s campaign launching with major endorsements from State Treasurer Fiona Ma, Senator Scott Wiener, former Mayor London Breed, Supervisors Stephen Sherill, Matt Dorsey, and Danny Sauter, and community leaders from every neighborhood in San Francisco’s District 10.

District 10 includes the neighborhoods of Bayview-Hunters Point, Candlestick Point, Central Waterfront, Dogpatch, India Basin, Little Hollywood, McLaren Park, Potrero Hill, Silver Terrace, Sunnydale, Bayshore Heights, and Visitacion Valley. Incumbent Supervisor Shamann Walton terms out in November 2026.
