RELEASE: Supervisor Jane Kim Endorses Theo Ellington for Supervisor

Progressive Former Supervisor Joins Broad Coalition of Democrats, Labor, Environmentalists, Small Business, and Community Leaders in Backing Campaign
(San Francisco, CA) – Today, Theo Ellington, candidate for San Francisco District 10 Supervisor, announced that former San Francisco Supervisor Jane Kim has endorsed his campaign.
“Theo Ellington has spent his career fighting for San Francisco’s communities and making sure neighborhoods that have too often been overlooked have a real voice at City Hall,” said Supervisor Jane Kim. “He understands that building a more equitable city means creating housing people can afford, supporting working families and small businesses, investing in young people, and making government deliver for every neighborhood. Theo knows District 10 because he is a product of District 10, and I’m proud to support his campaign for Supervisor.”
“I’m proud to have the endorsement of former Supervisor Jane Kim, who I first got to know early in my political journey as a young organizer,” said Theo Ellington. “I was always impressed by her ability to bring people together, build community, and fight for people who too often felt left out of the process. I’m grateful for her support as we continue building a broad coalition committed to moving District 10 forward.”
“Theo Ellington is building one of the most diverse, and broadest coalitions of support we’ve ever seen for a candidate for Supervisor,” said Ellington campaign strategist Noah Finneburgh. “To earn support from leaders across the spectrum of San Francisco politics shows that Theo has what it takes to bring the city’s diverse communities together to make real progress on some of San Francisco’s most challenging issues.”
Supervisor Kim joins a broad and diverse coalition endorsing Ellington’s campaign, including the San Francisco Democratic Party, Alice B. Toklas LGBTQ Democratic Club, San Francisco Women’s Political Committee, Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Janitors Local 87, United Food and Commercial Workers Local 648, North Coast States Carpenters Union, UA Local 38 Plumbers, Steamfitters & HVAC/R, International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local 16, the San Francisco League of Conservation Voters, Sierra Club (#2), Lt.
